NAPA Standard Service Interval (S.S.I.) Coolant Products Supplemental Coolant Additive (SCA) DCA IV Corrosion Inhibitor The cooling system must receive complete and proper maintenance to ensure efficient engine operation. Our SCA DCA IV Corrosion Inhibitor is formulated to provide maximum protection for engine cooling systems while providing for Standard Service Interval capabilities. This inhibitor package is completely compatible with all glycol based coolants (both normal and extended service formulas) concentrated or pre-mixed. It is NOT for use in systems using only water. All in-field test kits, regardless of the supplier, are compatible with this new inhibitor formulation. Our low solids technology approach to this supplemental coolant additive (SCA) virtually eliminates the possibility of gelation problems in properly mixed systems. The presence of greatly reduced total dissolved solids (T.D.S.) in the cooling system results in better heat transferability of the coolant, reduced water pump leakage, a much lower potential for pitting corrosion in metal components, the virtual elimination of cavitation erosion in sleeve assemblies and the potential for extended total system drain and flush intervals. Solid contamination in the cooling system (dirt, rust, etc.) is eliminated with the use of our coolant filters as they contain a special filter media in addition to the SCA inhibitor. All of our coolant filter cans are epoxy coated to give extra protection from corrosion induced failures. Replace with a 4071 filter when these limits are reached. To insure proper coolant conditioner concentration, use a NAPA test kit at intervals of 250 hours or 15,000 miles.
