Lube Filter Conversion Kits Full Flow For Cummins Diesel Engines Most Cummins engines manufactured since 1969 can be easily converted to spin-on oil filters using the NAPA Kit Number 4067. It allows you to replace the NAPA 1954 cartridge type filter with an easy-change 1970 spin-on. The kit includes an adapter plate, sealing gaskets, washers and instruction sheet. A cap screw (bolt) is not supplied with this kit. The appropriate length cap screw should be determined and purchased from a local source. All cap screws should be Grade 5, 5/8”-18 UNF-2A. NOTE: The NAPA Kit Number 4067 does not include the 1970 lube oil filter, which should be ordered as a separate item. Important The engine model series shown in the chart is for reference purposes only. Before attempting to convert any of these engine model series, you must determine the head (filter mounting base) part number and match it with one shown in the chart. If the head part number is not listed in the chart, the conversion cannot be made. Kit No. 4067 ** The “head” is the cast metal base to which the filter shell is attached. The part number is normally found in the recessed cavity of the head.
