Easy to convert…easy to service…saves dollars in service time and down time. The NAPA 1749 exceeds the performance requirements for the Cummins Diesel Engine specifications. NAPA has designed the 1749 using the same special top quality premium grade of paper, as you would find in all our heavy-duty lube filters. Note to Cummins Owners As of May 1982, Cummins is manufacturing engines with a 9-gallon oil pan using the spin-on type bypass filter. Remember, Cummins Engine Company requires that 1749 retrofits, for on- highway applications, retain the 750-bypass housing, which will act as an oil reservoir. Off highway applications may use the spin-on bypass filter in place of the housing. Conversion Base Spin-On Filter 4750 1749 1064
