ACK40 Installation Instructions Installation of AquaChek filters requires a filter mounting base (see above chart for proper base + filter) and tools to cut and thread the airline at the location the filter mounting base is being installed. It is recommended that a self-venting water trap be installed between the air compressor and the AquaChek mounting base and filter. This will prolong the life of the AquaChek filter. Important: The AquaChek mounting base must be installed a minimum of 10 feet away from the compressor. This allows the air to cool enough to achieve maximum moisture removal. It is vital that the inlet and outlet sides of the mounting base be installed with the proper configuration. It is recommended a flow control valve be installed just before the filter to prevent possible polymer migration. Change Out Circuit: In situations where taking the compressor off line for filter changes is undesirable, the installation of an isolation circuit around the filter system is recommended. The isolation circuit requires 2 two-way valves installed to allow routing of air around the filter system during filter change-outs. Note: Apply thread-sealing tape to all male thread surfaces when installing the AquaChek base and filter.
